+++ Featured in One Thimble 10 +++

Simple above the knee, all seasons skirt with elastic waist. Optional pleat on the front and decorative tie. Can be made with woven or knit fabrics.
Interactive table of contents, no-trim pages and printing by layers features. You can print only the size you want with Adobe Acrobat.

Difficulty: Beginner

You can use either woven or knit fabric for the skirt. Choose woven fabrics like chambray, cotton, wool, or something with a nice drape. Knits: use french terry, or light to medium weight fabrics.
Attention: If you choose to use fleece, scuba, or any heavy fabric, consider using a lighter fabric for the waistband, otherwise inserting the elastic in the casing might be impossible.

For the waistband, you will need 1” wide knitted elastic with lots of stretch.Otherwise, you can use another elastic, but once it’s topstitched, the waist measurement may vary from the size chart.

All of Filles a Maman’s patterns are extensively reviewed and edited by english speakers and verify by several testers of all sewing levels.

The PDF document is easy to print , contains a wealth of information and a user guide with several very detailed pictures. The pattern is designed by computer in a very professional manner.

    Quite a few FAM patterns have become my go-to patterns and this is one of them. The Jolie skirt is so simple and enjoyable to make with excellent, stylish results. It can be made from almost any fabric, changing the look every time. It is such a great skirt! I love my Jolie pattern- it gets lots of use!
